The TK65 at an angle: a black board with a gold border, seven nested gold rectangles of bare trace across its top half, two round LEGO holes with gold rings below them, two small resistors and a tan capacitor in a row between the holes, lonely binary up the left edge, a gold ANALOG box on the right, and a right-angle four-pin header out of the front edge.

Steam Sensor

A TinkerBlock board that reads water on its surface: seven nested loops of bare gold, every other one on VCC, the rest held at 0 V by a 1 MΩ. Condensed steam, breath or a drop across the loops makes a divider, and SIGNAL rises from 0 V towards VCC. It is an analog output, it does not sense humidity in the air, and VCC must be your board's logic voltage.

Sensing loops
7of bare gold, 4 of them on VCC
Draws while dry
0mA; microamps when wet
Settles in
500ms after VCC comes on
VCC

Turn it over and see the three holes to wire: GND, VCC and SIGNAL. VCC reaches every other gold loop; water across the loops joins it to the 1 MΩ that otherwise holds SIGNAL at 0 V.

Point a phone camera at the code and this page opens there. It is the same address as the one printed on your box, so it is also what to show someone you are passing the board to.
