LoRaWAN and the bench

LoRa is not LoRaWAN, LoRaWAN's message rhythm and keys, and the ESP32 on the bench.

  1. 10LoRa is not LoRaWAN4 minLoRa is the radio signal, and LoRaWAN is the network rules on top of it. This lesson shows one uplink heard by two gateways and counted once, and what raw LoRa between two radios leaves out.
  2. 11LoRaWAN's message rhythm and keys5 minA Class A LoRaWAN node listens only in two short windows after it has sent. This lesson shows the one and two second defaults, how the classes differ, and what the counters and keys protect.
  3. 12On the ESP32 bench5 minAn ESP32 has no LoRa radio, so a module on SPI and an antenna do the work, and both ends must agree on every setting. This lesson wires the bench in 3D and shows why a mismatch is silence, not an error.
